Katrien Serrien has developed great expertise in insolvency proceedings, with a focus on seizures.

She regularly acts in the context of reorganization procedures and bankruptcy cases, while her practice also includes general commercial law.

She has become a renowned specialists on the specific procedures recently implemented (the Belgian procedure for recovery of uncontested monetary debts, the European  Order for Payment Procedure, and the European Small Claims Procedure).

Katrien Serrien also has expertise in collective settlement of debts and has been entrusted with more than 150 judicial mandates as a mediator of debts by the Dutch-speaking and French-speaking Brussels labour courts.

She is a member of the International Board of the London-based “International Grouping of Accountants and Lawyers” (IGAL).
